## Bodmas Worksheets Example 1

Bodmas or Bidmas, which do you prefer? See we like Bidmas but you know Bodmas so I guess we just settle for what is best lass. What does it even mean? Brackets, Order, Multiplication, Addition, Subtraction. It tells us the order that we should compute numbers in – it makes sure we’re all on the same page. For example if you and your mates decide to do some maths at your birthday party (yeh right, not likely), your mate says: “Hey mate, what’s 2 + 3 x 4″. You say confidently, loud and proud, it’s 20!” with a big cheesy grin on your face, then your mate checks on a calculator and gets an answer of 14. You end up looking like the loser. You go home alone. You don’t get the girl. Everybody loses. Everybody loses. It’s such a shame. 😏

For your convenience we’ve placed this Bodmas page under algebra worksheets as well as under number worksheets.

## Bodmas Worksheets Example 2

Hey so here’s a handy visual to help you remember that Bodmas stands for: Brackets, Order, Division, Multiplication, Addition, Subtraction. Oh and what’s this “Order” business. Let’s just say it stands for all of the “powers and roots” – remember do them second!
