How Do You Measure Angles?

Students will be able to draw angles with a protractor. Looking at the protractor below we see that angles between 0 degrees and 180 degrees can be measured. Angles larger than 180 degrees are called reflex angles. To measure reflex angles we use a full sized protractor.

Angles on parallel lines are the same in different places. "Z angles" and "F angles" are also called Alternate Angles and Corresponding Angles. Alternate angles are the same when between parallel lines, and the angles form a Z shape. Corresponding angles are the same when between parallel lines, and the angles form an F shape.
