What Are The Basic Rules of Arithmetic?

Arithmetic is worked out mentally or using written methods. Arithmetic involves four operations: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Addition is used to find a total sum. Subtraction is applied to take away from a given amount. Multiplication is used to discover  groups of multiple items. Division is applied to share a divisible total.

How Do Arithmagons Work?

Arithmagons are a fun way to practice arithmetic. The numbers in the circles are always multiplied together. Students get to practice time tables. In the example below 3 is multiplied with 2. We put the answer in the square. The next calculation is 2 multiplied by 4. The answer is 8. The final calculation would be 3 'times' 4. The answer is 12. The three final answers in the arithmagon are 6,12 and 8.
